Well, When it comes to choosing the right fabric for the turban. It primarily depends on the style you want to do. It is specific to the turban style.

If you are one of our clients, we recommend you consult us before purchasing the turban fabric. Even if you have already bought the fabric, confirm with us by sending us a photo of your chosen turban style. Our team will provide the exact turban fabric type and length.

If you are looking for an urgent answer, here is our quick guidance for choosing the right fabric.

  1. Full-Voile: In my 7 years of turban-tying experience, Almost 80% of the styles go well with the Full-Voile fabric type. This fabric type is known for its lightweight and being one of the softest turban fabrics out there. This makes it the right choice for first-time turban tiers, and beginners who want to learn how to tie the turban. So if you have no idea which fabric you should start with, go with Full-Voile with closed eyes

  2. Malmal F74: This fabric is even lighter than the Full-Voile type. It is mainly used for Sikh Dumala style turban.

  3. Rubia-Voile: This fabric type was more common among our father's generation. This fabric is heavier and more dense than the Full-Voile type. Which makes it ideal for larger turban styles. It requires some good practice to be able to handle this type of fabric. So I don't recommend it if you are a beginner.
